Michael T. Gardenhire Jr.
Michael is a native to Kansas City, Mo and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church since May 2015. Since then he has had the privilege to be a part of the Greeter’s Ministry (1st Sunday), Brotherhood Ministry, Single Ministry, 20 something Ministry, Male choir and Teen Ministry. Michael is the son of Michael T Gardenhire Sr, grandson to Anna Jean Gardenhire and nephew to Grace Johnson and Gregory Gardenhire and a long list of cousins whom are members at Macedonia.
Michael’s favorite scripture is 1 Corinthians 13:4-5 “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.”
Outside of ministry Michael enjoys fishing with his son Michael T Gardenhire III, watching Nascar, and cooking.

Jacqui is a native Kansas Citian. She wants the record to reflect that she loved Kansas City before it was cool (pre-gentrification).
Macedonia is a church with a heart for the city and that was one of its many appeals to her. After joining Macedonia in March 2016, Jacqui began serving in the Multimedia and Marketing ministries, as well as on the Breeze and Web teams.
One of Jacqui’s favorite Holy Scriptures is John 15:18-21. It was a memory verse in the first Excel class she took here at Macedonia on Apologetics/Defending the Faith.
Jacqui’s aim in life is to please God and love people. She’s humbled by the investment, support and love she’s receiving from the wonderful people that make up Macedonia Baptist Church.
Jacqui’s family members at Macedonia are her mother, Marcia J. Davis, and two sisters: Ciara M. Davis and Milan A. Davis.
Jacqui is the eldest of 5 girls She could eat tacos everyday

Jarrod was raised on the Kansas side or shall we say the BEST SIDE. Jay is a proud Kansas City, Kansan!!! Being led to the church by his aunts Linda, Angela and Barbara Wayne. Jay has been a member of Macedonia for the past 16 years.
In that time span he has served the great people of Macedonia in many forms of ministry; nursery, 20 Something, teen, and Men’s Choir. He is currently working in the Children’s Ministry, Linwood Fellows, and also serving as a Deacon. Jay has been blessed to have been allowed the opportunity to have Gods greatest creation walk and serve alongside him. That creation being his wonderful bride Shayla Morgan. They have been given stewardship over three amazing children Jayden (12), Jayce (9) and Serena(4).
Since joining as a single-minded high schooler, Macedonia has been vital in Jay’s maturation process into a leader, influencer and family man. He thanks God daily that he has been strategically placed here at this thriving church and has been able to establish all these wonderful relationships with you people of God.
This internship has opened his eyes and reassured him of his calling to serve Gods people in many fashions inside and outside of the church. When the hours get long and his mind and body gets weary he leans on his favorite scripture
1 Thessalonians 5:18 “Give thanks in ALL circumstances for this is Gods will for you in Christ Jesus”.
Fun Fact: Jay is the youngest Deacon in Macedonia history!!!!
Ashli Mosby a native of Kansas City, MO and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church since September 2013.
Since joining Macedonia, Ashli has been a part of the 20’s something ministry core team, sisterhood ministry and the greeters ministry (2nd Sunday).
Ashli is the daughter of Gregory Gardenhire and niece to Grace Johnson and Michael Gardenhire Sr. Also, she’s the grand-daughter of Anna Jean Gardenhire, along with a list of cousins who are members of Macedonia.
During her free time, Ashli, enjoys spending time with her 3 little sisters, nephew, family and friends. Ashli also enjoys reading, running and traveling.
Ashli is beyond grateful for the internship program as she is able to have hands on experience working in the church and grow within her walk with Christ.
When circumstances become hard Ashli leans on her favorite scripture Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” Trusting in the Lord with all her heart has allowed Ashli to live a consistent and committed life of service to Christ and others.
Fun Fact: Ashli has 26 first cousins and 56 second cousins one include (Michael Gardenhire Jr.) in which she gets to serve alongside with during the internship program.
Tim Lumpkin-Sorey was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri.
Tim has been a member of Macedonia his entire life. While at Macedonia, Tim has served in Music and Children’s Ministry and is now currently serving in Teen Ministry . Tim’s passion is working with the youth. He has always had the desire to work with kids because he believes that he can have an impact in their lives. Tim feels that ministering to youth is important because they are the next generation in life.
This internship at Macedonia has helped Tim realize that he has been called by God to serve in this position. Some of the benefits of this internship is being able to go behind the scenes and to see the business side of the church and how he can continue his spiritual growth.
Tim’s favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13 “ I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. It’s his favorite scripture because Tim doesn’t believe in giving up, he wants to motivate and keep pushing others in their walk with Christ because everything that we do is for God’s glory.
