Greetings, Macedonia Family and Friends!
Last week, during our Gethsemane (week of rest), I had plenty of time to reflect on how this pandemic has and continues to affect the work of the Kingdom. I thought of all the hopelessness, panic, and fear that abounds; and how it is causing people to seek comfort and relief in worldly things instead of God’s Work. How many believers do you know who are on the verge of, or have fallen prey to this type of behavior? Well, my Brothers and Sisters, there is good news! WE can do something about it. WE SHOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
We can stay connected. We can reach out. We can encourage. We can pray!! We can intervene as a positive reminder of God’s grace and mercy that still exists and is evident in our lives and the lives of others. We can listen. We can open our ears and hearts to help! We can read scripture and devotionals. As I said, there IS something we can do, and WE MUST!! We are, after all, our brothers’, and our sisters’ keepers!!
People are hurting. Yes! They need our thoughts. Yes! They need our prayer. And YES! They need ACTION!! Remember, but for the grace of God, there go I or YOU!
Every time Jesus came out of solitude, great things were accomplished (e.g., five thousand men plus women and children were fed with 5 loaves and 2 fish; a paralyzed man was not only healed, but his soul was saved; He chose the 12 apostles that went on to spread the gospel throughout the world, etc.). Now that we are coming out of our solitude, it’s our turn. What great things will occur because you have spent time with God? Who will be blessed? With whom will you share the gospel?
In conclusion I need you to sign up for virtual community groups. Please go to our website at macedoniakc.organd SIGN UP!! Make sure you INVITE A FAMILY MEMBER OR A FRIEND to join us! Let’s expand the Kingdom and change lives TOGETHER!!
I am looking forward to Bible Study tomorrow. Help somebody. Invite them to join us! Share the links below! Now is not the time to slow down or give up! Now is the time to show up, stand up, and bear down with steadfast determination to do the work of the Lord. “The harvest is ripe; but the laborers are few...” What have you done for GOD lately?
There is work to do Macedonia!! Since Jesus lives in us, let us be like Him — “As long as it is day, we must do the works of Him Who sent me. Night is coming when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” (John 9:4,5 NIV)
Hold up the light! HOLD UP THE LIGHT! Hold up the light all ye Heaven-bound soldiers!!
Peace & Love,
John L Brooks
