Greetings Macedonia Family and Friends!
Yesterday was Juneteenth — the day the Emancipation Proclamation became known to the slaves in Texas (almost three years AFTER it had been signed by then President Abraham Lincoln). Juneteenth, therefore, is considered by many as African Americans’ Independence Day. As Christians, we celebrate our Independence Day as the day we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour and were set “free indeed”! (John 8:36)
It’s still Family and Friends Month! I pray we continue extending invitations and encouragement for people to join us in worship. Adult Sunday School begins at 8:30 a.m. https://www.macedoniakc.org/sunday-school-ministry and Worship Service at 9:45 a.m.

Father’s Day is tomorrow! Consider what gift you can give to our Heavenly Father! As we pay tribute to our fathers and father-figures, take the extra time and make the extra effort to speak AND show love to those men who have made a difference in your lives (please tell my sons Ben and John II to take extra, extra, extra good care of their father LOL).
Keep praying my Sisters and Brothers. Stand strong in the Word and the work of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Peace & Love,
John L. Brooks
