Greetings Macedonia Family and Friends!
It would be understandable if, when you reflect on all that has happened and is happening this year, you feel anxiety, fear, hurt, sadness, and yes, even anger! A lot happened. A lot couldn’t happen. A lot shouldn’t have happened. But regardless of life’s circumstances, we cannot allow ourselves to become deaf to the Holy Spirit or paralyzed.
As was so eloquently preached by Pastor Griswold on Sunday, the young boy Samuel heard somebody calling to him in the still of the night. Our forefathers sang, “Hush! Hush! Somebody’s calling my name! Oh, my Lord! Oh, my Lord! What shall I do?”
What is God saying to you during these turbulent times? Are you listening for and to Him? Can you hear Him? Now is not the time to lie down! According to Thurgood Marshall, “The measure of a country's greatness is its ability to retain compassion in times of crisis."
