September 5, 2020,

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine! Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God; Born of His spirit, washed in His blood”

Greetings, Macedonia Family and Friends!

With a discussion rooted in Genesis 12:21, we had a great time during Wednesday’s Bible Study naming songs entitled with the word “bless” or a form of it. Perhaps some come to your mind even now. More important than these songs, are the countless scriptures about God’s history of blessing us and His desire to bless us.

And what is our core responsibility as recipients of these many blessings? Simply to bless others!!!

I recall an old saying “in one hand; out the other” which during those days referred to the “evaporation” of money. But today, I’d like to apply it to the cycle of blessing. In one hand, we receive blessings from God which we in turn pour out onto others, creating the blessing cycle.  So, what’s the greatest blessing we possibly can give to others? It is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with them!

Join us tomorrow as we kick off Family and Friends Month with a series of sermons on B.L.E.S.S. Click here for Facebook and Livestream at https://livestream.com/accounts/3643109/events/2057916 and share these links with your family, friends, and anyone God places in your spirit and on your heart; remembering you are blessed to be a blessing!!

Macedonia please don’t get caught up in the pervasive stream of negativity in this world. God is still very much on the throne and in the blessing business!! He’s still on time! He’s still showing up! His love and goodness surround us! There are innumerable manifestations of His presence and greatness! I challenge you right now, to pause and take a moment to see and be grateful for all God is doing. The question is, “What will we do with all He gives us?” Prayerfully, we will be the conduit we were created to be and pass on His blessings!

People are struggling! Some are hurting! Some are lost! Macedonia let’s continue to hold up the light in the midst of these dark days. We need your support and blessings so we can continue pouring into our church family and community! Please continue to be generous and consistent with your giving! All we are able to do is a direct result of your giving!

Tomorrow we will have the Lord’s Supper in remembrance of His love and sacrifice.  This week we officially kick off Community Groups. If you haven’t already, SIGN UP! They are open to the community, so share this link with others to sign up at https://www.macedoniakc.org/community-groups.

I will end with the words from this old gospel song — “THE LORD IS BLESSING ME, RIGHT NOW, OOOOH RIGHT NOW. HE WOKE ME UP THIS MORNING AND HE STARTED ME ON MY WAY, OH THE LORD IS BLESSING ME RIGHT NOW.”

Peace & Love,

John L. Brooks

Greetings, Macedonia Family and Friends! With the endless cycle of bad COVID news and turbulent election news, isn’t it wonderful to know “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31 NIV)?!
